FORIERO

Hospital Pharmacists for Independent Research in Economic Field in the Rational Use of Technologies and Outcome Assessment;
Born with the aim of describing the entire life cycle of technologies in the healthcare field from the pre-marketing phase to real-life use.
Specifically, drug sheets, FORIERO sheets, are divided into the following sections:

  1. Indications for use
  2. Registration Trials
  3. EMA Registration
  4. AIFA Registration
  5. Real World Evidence
  6. Ongoing Trials

    All sections will be filled with published data, aiming to provide, in a quick and intuitive way, all the main information characterizing the technologies used in the healthcare sector, which can be further explored.

    Each point of the FORIERO sheet, in addition to providing cardinal information on the described drug or medical device, can provide interesting food for thought. For example, the access times by the regulatory bodies, EMA and AIFA, respectively.

    The data from Real World Evidence, where available, can be compared with the information reported by the Registration Trials, not for direct comparison but to comment on any differences.

    Once multiple FORIERO sheets describing healthcare technologies with the same indication are produced, it is possible to move to a deeper level of insight: FORIERO DISEASE SHEETS

    These sheets can provide a quick overview when it is necessary to have comparative information useful for employment evaluations.

    The last piece is the FORIERO PROJECT SHEET which, unlike the previous ones, aims to propose shared projects aimed at filling data gaps, such as those from real-life scenarios.

    The initial working group is composed of Hospital Pharmacists who have been interested in these topics over the years.

    With the publication of the first FORIERO sheets, we will have the opportunity to delve into all the presented aspects.
